This pair is one of the most colorful shoes in the Nike ‘Mid-size‘ dunks family. These are from the Maneki Neko (Money Cat) series. They are made out of leather and are very limited. This Pack is AKA Get That Money or Lucky Cat Pack. The pack consists of a High, Low and Mid. The Maneki Neko is a common Japanese sculpture, often made of porcelain or ceramic, which is believed to give good luck to the owner. The sculpture depicts a cat beckoning with an upright paw, and is usually displayed in stores. Of all the products in this rather huge family that have come into my possession at various points in time, I would have to confess that it is the Nike SB-Money Cat that I have gotten most enchanted with. The bottom part of the shoe, the one that is in contact with the ground the wearer walks on is colored grey, and this is the only incidence grey on the shoe. The upper part of the sole is colored black, as indeed is most of the shoe’s frontal section; as well as the patch that connects the various parts of the shoe. Then there is red, occurring on the Nike tick on this shoe, the securing flap with which the shoe comes, and top part of the shoe’s back end. There is the bright hue of yellow, also called ‘gold’ which makes a brief appearance on the Nike Dunk Mid Pro SB – Money Cat, at the portion where the Nike ‘Tick’ (with its hooked end) is based. They are a nice, clean combination of black suede and gold leather, with red accenting. Note that this sneaker was one of three Dunks making up the Money Cat series, as they all feature a red stitched flower design near the toe and a special custom tongue logo.
