Day of the Dead MexicoNike will be dropping a Day of the Dead pack again this year that will include a Dunk low, Dunk high and Air Max 90. In cool colorways that feature purple, green, orange, white and black. The shoes are decorated with sugarskulls and cobwebs, perfect for the holiday. This quickstrike release drops only at select retailers on October 24th so that means you got a little time to get your info straight and RSVP a pair of your own.
The word Nike followed by Day of the Dead, most sneaker heads will immediately think of the much sought-after Dunk SB version, but a new pack is on the way that will attempt to share in the success of the original, the Halloween season rolls around Nike Sportswear is dropping three popular sneakers paying tribute to the Mexican holiday celebration that takes place at the beginning of November every year. This year will be no different then previous years with Halloween themed sneakers dropping for the guys, girls and kids. If you recall this is not the first time Nike has incorporated the Day of The Dead theme into a pair of sneakers. A few years ago back in 2006 Nike SB released the Day of The Dead SB Dunks which were quite a popular seller. These sneakers however carry a different design then those released 3 years ago.
The Nike Dunk Low Premium comes in a varsity purple and green colorway with a pattern of skeletons throughout the entire shoe. The Nike Dunk High Premium sports a similar pattern and green check but on a predominantly black base. And the Nike Air Max 90 Premium is dressed in almost an identical makeup to the Dunk High but in different graphics. There also a slight hint of orange worked into each model.

Nike’s collaboration with Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong campaign continues with this pair of Nike Air Force Ones. They shoe sports a low top design, along with a traditional black / varsity maize color scheme. The midsole features “ONYOURBIKEKID”, while the outsole features the same maize hue. They are the last shoes to release as part of the Livestrong x Nike campaign this year, but we’ll see more in 2010. Look for them to hit select Nike accounts on December 4, 2009.

DJ AM’s ebay auction may not have had your size leaving you out in the cold but his collaboration with Nike should be more than enough to make up for that. The high top sneaker looks to be made up of black patent leather with red on the ankle, side panel and toe box. A matte silver swoosh and DJ AM tongue tag sews the design all together. Special details like the heel perforations give the swoosh a tone arm implication and makes you think that the patent leather may represent vinyl also.
