Bodega is a curated collection of large scale, eco-friendly, temporary indoor art. The concept is to make the art of emerging and established artists alike, affordable and available to the public. Each piece is delivered as a complete package for the consumer and includes ready-to-apply art piece and tools for installation. Obsessed with process, Bodega creates high quality, layered die-cut vinyl art editions; representing some of the most captivating artists of our generation. Using eco-friendly inks and vinyl to create layered die-cut, gallery quality vinyl that cab be applied to any flat surface. The vinyl is low-tack and can be removed without damaging the wall; however, is non-collectible as the art work cannot be reapplied to a surface after removal. A character that is intrinsically designed to the medium to retain the divide between the collection of the artists original art and Bodega editions so you can continue to explore your living environment by embracing art in your everyday life. The Bodega collection is available online exclusively through Arkitip . © Staff for Hypebeast , 2009. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Arkitip , Art , Lifestyle

Aya Takano “Reintegrating Worlds” Exhibition Recap
November 12th, 2009
James A familiar name out of the KaiKai Kiki stable of sensational Japanese pop-artists, Aya Takano opened up her “Reintegrating Worlds” exhibition this past weekend. In a departure from the usual cartoony aesthetics marked by other KaiKai Kiki icons such as Takashi Murakami, Takano’s approach is decidedly a little bit darker and subdued with the lack of vibrant colors we’ve seen from many of her associates. Among the attendees to witness Takano’s female-centric works was Pharrell Williams of N.E.R.D. The exhibition is currently running at the Skarstedt Gallery until December 12th, 2009.
