Nike Sportswear 2010 Black History Month Air Force 1

Nike Sportswear commemorates Black History Month with its newest rendition of the staple Air Force 1. Comprised of inspirational elements, the shoe touts an original design, which pays homage to the rise of Black enterprise, economic empowerment and the Harlem Renaissance individual behind this rise. The shoe’s main inspiration is clearly imprinted onto the upper: “The definition of a renaissance individual: one who possesses a multitude of skills, talent and a broad base of knowledge.” Silhouettes of a man and woman on the sock liner and hang tag signify that the change celebrated by Black History Month was made possible only by the participation of both genders. The boldest detail of the AF1 is its colorway, black red and green – the colors of the African American flag. In the tradition of community and giving back, Nike will be making a donation to Cheyney University, the oldest Black institution in the country and a key inspiration in the creation of this shoe. The kicks drop on February 18th at a selection of the countries’ top Nike accounts. © Staff for Nike Sneaker Online , 2010. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Nike , Nike Air Force 1 , Nike Sportswear , Sneakers

Nike Air Force 1 Low Team Red

Be it Christmas or Valentines Day, tis always the season for a fresh pair of Air Force 1’s and with both holidays upon us this Team Red model is more than welcome. The fairly simple nubuck and leather low top features a white swoosh, midsole and lining. Nike’s signature color of team red is predominantly featured in this one with it being the only other color on the shoe. Air Force 1 Torch Preview

Part of being a sneakerhead is about being a fan of design and technology, two things that any good footwear brand takes very seriously. With good reason Nike makes a big deal out of anything they announce from a new color to a new technology because they understand that they are probably not only changing a design, but changing history. The new Torch technology is being introduced on yet another one of Nike’s signature models.  In addition to the Air Maxim 1 and the Air Max BW the Air Force 1 is being Torch’d. The new technology can be seen in the toe and side panels. The shoe also has a black leather upper that looks pretty good contrasted against the new lightweight material. 2010 is looking real promising. Via  Freshngood . Nike WMNS Air Force 1 High – Anthracite/Birch – Crimson

The straps on the Air Force 1 High are like that toy in your happy meal. They aren’t essential to rocking the shoe correctly but damn if its not fun to experiment with looks and mess around with them while lacing them. This pair of Air Force 1 High in Anthracite/Birch-Crimson for the ladies is definitely one of those models men will size up. Its almost too good to be bound by gender restrictions. With its anthracite leather and nubuck upper and slick birch accents playing off of the crimson outsole/strap they are definite winners. Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low – Club Purple/White/Total Orange

When it comes to women’s footwear everyman loves heels but Nike Air Force 1’s also look great on girls. We all love to see a fly chick in a pair of Jordan III’s or AM90’s but something about a tiny pair of AF1’s just really speaks volumes. The latest pair to surface for the ladies are these lows in club purple/white-total orange. Club purple seems to differ from grand purple in its shade being a little lighter but regardless to that these are pretty damn fresh. The shade is used in patent leather for the toe, lace plate and heel tab while the orange is relegated to the outsole and heel embroidery.
